Directions to use Advantix for Dogs                                                                               

K9 Advantix must be used as a spot-on application on your dog's skin:

• For use on dogs only. Not to be used on cats or any other animal
• For ease of application it's best to apply it when your dog is standing
• Use the entire contents of the pipette/ tube of Advantix - only one applicator tube to be used per treatment
• For dogs weighing under 20 lbs (9 kg) the entire applicator contents can be squeezed onto 2 - 3 spots on the back, from between the shoulder blades to the base of the tail
• Dogs weighing over 21 lbs (9.1 kg) should have the entire applicator contents squeezed onto 4 - 6 spots from between the shoulder blades to the base of the tail
• Devide the contents of the applicator tube evenly between the spots on the dog's back, avoiding any wastage or run-off
• Part the fur until you can see the skin & place the applicator tip on the skin. The gently apply a portion of the tube directly onto the dog's skin
• Keep your cat away from your treated dog for the first 12 hours after applying K-9 Advantix

How to open

Remove a single pipette/ applicator from the package. Hold the applicator upright, twist the cap and pull it off. Then turn around the cap, placing the opposite end of the cap back onto the pipette. Now proceed by twisting the cap again to break the seal. Finally you must remove the cap from the application pipette - and your good to go!

Water exposure and your treated dog:

It's important to realize that the product always remains effective even if your dog gets wet. Prolonged water exposure does have some effect though and can reduce efficacy, so if  possible it should be avoided. If frequent water exposure is unavoidable then your dog can be retreated, but remember not to retreat more often than once a week. If your dog smells and needs a good shampooing, then it's a good idea to do this before applying Advantix - or alternatively, wait until two weeks after the application to ensure the product performs as expected.
